T.C. Adam comes ashore

Edelweiss City, SS (TST) – Tropical Cyclone Adam came ashore near this northern metropolitan township overnight, with 135 km/hour winds, and heavy rains. While isolated flooding was reported, there were few reports of injuries or loss of life following mandated evacuations of islands and low-lying areas
The weather system was downgraded to a tropical depression as it continued to move inland and was expected to dissipate before the tropical system reached the Black Mountains in the southern portions of the western schnauzerlands. Local emergency management agencies were still assessing property damage in the affected townships, and utility crews had initiated repairs to power lines, water services and natural gas services. “We’re prepared to bring in permanent replacement housing, food services, and medical assistance where required in the affected areas,” said a Schnauzervolk Emergency Management Agency spokesperson. “We expect damage assessments to be completed this evening.”
Tropical Cyclone Adam was the first tropical system to come ashore in the schnauzerlands since Tropical Cyclone Jase struck the Port Rose area 13 years ago.
